♿ Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 11, 2026 · Standard: IS 5568 (WCAG 2.0 Level AA)

PictoPlace Studios is committed to making our website and mobile game accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement describes the measures we have taken to make our digital services accessible in accordance with:

  • Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998
  • Accessibility Regulations for Service, 2013
  • Israeli Standard IS 5568, based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA

1. Scope

This statement applies to:

  • The PictoPlace website at pictoplace.online (English and Hebrew versions)
  • The PictoPlace Android mobile application available on Google Play

2. Accessibility Features

Our website and app include the following accessibility features:

  • Screen reader support — all interactive elements have text labels, headings are in logical order, and images have alt text where appropriate
  • Keyboard navigation — the website can be navigated entirely with the keyboard using Tab, Shift+Tab, and Enter
  • Color contrast — text and background color combinations meet WCAG 2.0 AA minimum ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Scalable text — the website respects browser zoom settings up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • No flashing content — no content that flashes more than three times per second (WCAG 2.3.1)
  • Multi-language support — full English (LTR) and Hebrew (RTL) localization
  • Semantic HTML — proper use of headings, landmarks, and ARIA attributes
  • Responsive design — works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
  • Focus indicators — visible focus outlines for keyboard users

3. Standards Compliance

PictoPlace aims to conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA as implemented by Israeli Standard IS 5568. We regularly test our website and app using:

  • Automated accessibility scanners (Lighthouse, axe-core)
  • Manual testing with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver (web) and TalkBack (Android)
  • Keyboard-only navigation testing
  • Color contrast verification
  • User feedback from people using assistive technologies

4. Known Limitations

We acknowledge the following accessibility limitations:

  • Our core gameplay is visually image-based. While we provide multiple hint types and descriptive text, the full game experience is limited for users with total blindness.
  • Some AI-generated puzzle images do not yet have detailed text alternatives.
  • Embedded third-party content (e.g., Google Maps) follows those providers' accessibility features.

We are actively working to improve these areas.

5. Accessibility Coordinator

In accordance with Israeli law, our Accessibility Coordinator handles accessibility inquiries and complaints:

  • Name: PictoPlace Accessibility Team
  • Email: pictoplaceinfo@gmail.com (subject: "Accessibility")
  • Response time: within 7 business days

6. How to Report an Accessibility Barrier

If you encounter any accessibility problem on our website or in the app, please let us know. Email pictoplaceinfo@gmail.com with:

  • A description of the problem
  • The URL or screen where the problem occurred
  • Your device, browser, and assistive technology (if applicable)

We will review every report and respond within 7 business days. Critical issues will be prioritized for urgent fixes.

7. Your Legal Rights (Israel)

Under the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, people with disabilities have the right to accessible digital services. If we have not addressed your accessibility concern to your satisfaction, you may file a complaint with the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities:

8. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review and update our accessibility features based on user feedback, new standards, and best practices. This statement is reviewed and updated as needed.
