Delete Your Account
Permanently delete your PictoPlace account and all associated data
⚠️ This action is permanent and cannot be undone
Deleting your account will permanently remove:
- Your profile, username, and email
- All game progress, stars, and achievements
- Hint balances and virtual currency
- Friend relationships and social data
- Purchase history (required tax records retained separately)
- All your data from our servers within 30 days
Option 1: Delete from within the app (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the PictoPlace app:
- Open the PictoPlace app
- Go to Settings (bottom navigation or profile menu)
- Tap Account Management
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion
Your account and all data will be immediately deleted from our servers. You will be signed out and the app will return to guest mode.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion by email:
- Send an email to pictoplaceinfo@gmail.com
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the email address or username associated with your account
- We will verify your identity before processing the request
- Your account will be deleted within 30 days (usually within 7 days)
What data is deleted?
When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed from our servers:
- User profile: username, email, password hash, profile image, bio, date of birth
- Game progress: puzzles completed, stars earned, hints used, achievements
- Weekly challenge records and daily reward history
- Virtual currency balances (coins, gems)
- Hint inventory
- Friend relationships and friend requests
- Invite links you generated
- Hint gifts sent and received
- Activity feed entries
- Device registration and sync tokens
- Social provider links (Google, Facebook, etc.)
- User settings and preferences
- User sessions and authentication tokens
What data may be retained?
To comply with legal requirements, some data may be retained even after account deletion:
- Purchase/tax records: retained for up to 7 years as required by tax law
- Security logs: retained for fraud prevention (anonymized)
- Aggregated analytics: anonymized statistics may be retained indefinitely
- Legal holds: data under legal investigation will be preserved until resolved
These retained records are anonymized or pseudonymized where possible and cannot be used to re-identify you.
Important Notes
- Deletion is permanent — your data cannot be recovered
- Purchased hints and virtual currency are forfeited with no refund
- If you want to stop using the app temporarily, simply uninstall it without deleting your account
- Your account will be automatically purged after 365 days of inactivity if it is a guest account
